TINY TOWN EMPLOYEE HOUSING

In the Roaring Fork Valley, workforce housing is scarce, and every square foot counts. Aspen One met that challenge with Tiny Town, a Basalt, Colorado community built from compact modular homes and repurposed shipping containers, giving employees of Aspen Skiing Company a place to live close to where they work.

Monoco Signs developed the full environmental branding and wayfinding program for the property, from the entry monument sign to individual unit identification. The "Small But Big" brand line captures the project's spirit: small footprints, big community. Bold building numbers guide residents to their unit among rows of black corrugated-metal homes, while the leasing office carries oversized channel letters visible from the road. Shipping containers repurposed as shared amenity space (a lounge, a bike-share station, storage) carry their own graphic treatments, turning utilitarian structures into landmarks residents recognize on sight.

The result is a housing community with a clear identity of its own: practical, playful, and unmistakably Tiny Town.
